Testimonials

November 2018

“I asked for Riley’s help following the Elemental diet to treat recurrent SIBO/SIFO. I was starting out with just a handful of foods–Riley helped me gently introduce new and delicious foods. She was exceedingly positive and joyful about the process, a breath of fresh air after living with so many “don’ts” for so long. She is exceptionally knowledgeable, she knows what works, and her recipes are delicious. Of the many practitioners I’ve sought out in my years of living with SIBO, Riley is among the very best.”

“I am a real fan of Riley and Bridgetown Nutrition! My Naturopath labeled me a “comfort food eater” (news to me;) and said I needed to see Riley, someone knowledgeable about SIBO who could help me make better food choices. Since January Riley and I have been having regular online meetings and she has been amazing!  I’ve learned about lots of gluten free options and recipes that are fun to make and are good for the gut too! Riley has introduced me to vegetables that I had never wanted to try (spaghetti squash) and she has shared recipes for healthy muffins, buckwheat crepes, sauces and more. I plan my meals now to include protein, and I find that I really like to cook and bake and discover new combinations of ingredients that are healthy. I knew I was on to something good with Riley when at our first meeting she told me about Honey Mama”s Chocolate Bars! Yumm…Hat’s off to Riley!”

“My experience with Riley couldn’t have been more satisfying!  I felt Riley to be an active listener, insightful, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic in coaching me towards intestinal wellness.  Riley has given me both new tools and direction to support my good health.  I would encourage anyone being challenged by intestinal issues to seek Riley’s guidance in the journey towards wellness.”

September 2016

“Riley is incredibly thoughtful and measured in her approach to nutrition, drawing upon a well of knowledge, research, and personal experience. I had the pleasure of working with her to develop a plan for my years of unresolved intestinal struggles–and have noticed substantial improvement. She identified key nutritional deficits in my diet and made personalized meal and food recommendations to overcome them. I cannot recommend Riley enough.”

Breakfasts without at least 15-20 grams protein don’t keep me full until lunchtime. This bowl? 28 g protein, 17 g fiber, PLUS antioxidants, healthy fats, and more! 💪🏻
GREEN BANANAS! If you find ones that are fully gre GREEN BANANAS! If you find ones that are fully green and firm, throw them in the fridge to stop the ripening (or peel and slice to keep in the freezer for longer). When ready to eat: peel, slice, and steam for a starchy side for chili, soups, and more. They’re rich in resistant starch, which helps promote a healthy gut microbiome. Ripe bananas (yellow with brown spots) give me acne and make me more congested, but not these 🎉 Gimme all that potassium, magnesium, B6, and resistant starch. Have you tried steamed green bananas?
Allergies & Insomnia: Is There a Connection? In ho Allergies & Insomnia: Is There a Connection? In honor of May being National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month, I decided to share about this connection I’ve noticed in case it helps anyone else. I included my story with allergies and insomnia, what the research says, and some things that have helped me (Neti pot and Allegra are only the tip of the iceberg).
